Glen-Gery molded thin brick are manufactured to conform to the ASTM International Standard Specification C 1088. Typically, Glen-Gery molded thin brick will meet the requirements of ASTM International C 1088, Type TBS, but depending on the intended irregularity of shape, the product may need to be specified as conforming to ASTM International C 1088, Type TBA.

| Dimensional Tolerances |
Glen-Gery molded thin brick are manufactured to achieve specific dimensional tolerances. The dimensional tolerances of the product are intended to be within the requirements of ASTM International C 1088, Type TBS. The tolerances for various unit dimensions are typically: Thickness, 3/32"; Height, 3/32"; Length over 6" up to 8", 1/4", over 8", 5/16". Generally, the product ordered will contain a number of units which are under or over the specified dimension.

Glen-Gery molded thin brick are manufactured using sand as a lubricant to release the clay from the molds. The brick are called 'sandstruck' units and are produced with sand on the finished surface.
